Workshop with Mathias Weiss (DJ Diaz, Stereofreezed Soundsystem/ TUBEKLUB) and Magda Chowaniec (performance)

Date: Sat, December 17 (2 p.m. to 8 p.m.) and Sun, December 18 (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.)
Location: Tanzstudio, Unipark Nonntal, Erzabt-Klotz-Straße 1
Max. 10 participants: dancers, performers, choreographers

In contemporary art discourse, the topic of DJ and performance has hardly been dealt with up to now. For a first approach, tanzbuero would like to invite performers, dancers and choreographers to investigate the methods and practices of DJ culture. The most imminent issues can be summed up as follows: the performer as DJ, the DJ as performer, musical dramaturgy, interaction with the audience as live act.

Workshop participation is free!!!!
Travelling costs for artists coming from out of town are taken over by tanzbuero.

Das Thema DJ und Performance ist ein bis dato noch wenig behandeltes im zeitgenössischen Kunstdiskurs. In einer ersten Annäherung will das tanzbuero PerformerInnen, TänzerInnen und ChoreografInnen einladen, sich mit den Verfahrensweisen der DJ-Kultur auseinanderzusetzen. Dabei lassen sich erste Fragen auffächern: Der Performer als DJ, der DJ als Performer, musikalische Inszenierung, Zusammenspiel mit Publikum als Live-Act.

Die Teilnahme am Workshop ist gratis!!!!
Fahrtkosten für KünstlerInnen, die von auswärts anreisen, werden vom tanzbuero übernommen.
